    What you are seeing is an opening in the back wall of the pantry that is open to the entry foyer. What you see through this opening is the stained glass window in the front door of the house.

    I don’t get that at all. The rest of the kitchen is beautiful. That surrounding bookcase does not belong, nor does the view of the foyer.
