I like the look of a runner, doesn't have that gap in the middle.

I would just use one of the rugs centered half way up, as there is a lot going on in this hallway - just a more simple look (see below). Perhaps consider removing some of the accessories (table by front door, stand next to console) and a smaller vase on the console...as I'm feeling the room is a bit over decorated - stand back and see what you think.

I don't mind the rugs' colour or size. I think if you remove the small, round table to the left of the door, the rugs would look better.

I agree with Maureen, maybe just one rug. Sorry but I'd also remove the flower things on the wall and the round table. I'd also remove the vase, it just seems too big.

Would you consider getting the small rug, but a couple sizes smaller to put by the door? Because of its size, you can't center it to your front door. That is throwing me a bit.
