Its definitely too low. That's where the rod was from the previous owner. Didn't want to change the rod until I knew I was getting 95' or 96'

What colors for primary furnishings like sofa and chairs.

Rug is gray and cream. Table (in attached photo) gray and off white. Couch and love seat is a linen color. Accent color is sea foam but I want to get curtains that I can keep when I change the accent color.

You can't go wrong with ivory drapes. They will allow you to change accent color as often as you wish. Make sure your curtains are hung properly and have enough fullness. Check out pictures of window treatments on Houzz and follow the one you like the best for your room.

Definitely I would do an ivory drape. I would hang the rod closer to the ceiling and purchase a more substantial rod. If you want to add color or texture you might want to consider a wood roller shade or woven wood blind. Love the wall color and trim. Coffee table is nice.

What is the purpose of the curtains? Privacy, light and temp control, sound dampening, softening, visually enlarging the room? They aren't just fabric you hang on the window - what do you need them to do for you and your room? Here's the way most Houzzers like to see them hung, but depends on your dilemma.

I was having the same issue. I’d love to see what you ended up with! With repose grey I went with a modern white flat Roman shade. I may add curtains with a subtle pattern in the future.

Similar here but I have dark brown stained trim. I chose PB grey silk drapes for sound dampening and to soften the room a bit. My floors are a beige stone and rug is mostly ivory with grey. I might add an ivory stripe to the drapes at some point but what to see them up before deciding. Good luck with your project and please post pics when you’re done!

I have the SAME wall color in my kitchen and my living room. I LOVE the color!! Here is a photo of my space and I went with more of a cream/ivory colored curtains and I am happy with them I feel like they pop and look fresh.

I am STRUGGLING finding any gray that matches my repose gray walls. I've brought home 20 different checks, stripes, florals, etc. Nothing looks even remotely good. The grays I see in the stores are so pretty, but look awful with the repose gray. I wanted a pattern but I think I'm going with plain white. Anyone?

I think plain white or off white would open the door for future redesigns without having to change out the curtains.
