Bathroom Light Fixture Problem

So we are building a house with a builder but doing all of the electrical work on our own (my dad is a retired builder/electrician). Our builder does custom woodwork on everything and has built beautiful mirror wraps in all of our bathrooms. Here's the problem: We stupidly bought all of our light fixtures during a sale and before we saw his finished work. Now, the fixture we purchased may not work due to space to clear the crown moulding above the mirror/below the fixture.

Looking for opinions/advice on the following:

Here is the fixture we purchased for the bathroom in the picture: https://www.build.com/kichler-45923/s1230717

We want the fixture to face downward - the issue is that the glass tubes that surround the bulb cannot clear the lip of the crown moulding. In order to fix the problem, the fixture must sit about 1/2 inch forward (and would not be flush with the wall).

Is that possible? Is there an easy solution here? Or should I investigate my options to return the fixture and purchase a lightbar style fixture?

FYI: For our other bathrooms we have the option of simply having the light fixture facing upward, but for the bathroom in the picture (our upstairs bath) it is 8' ceilings and the fixture won't work facing upward. All other bathrooms are on the main level with 9' ceilings. Also, hopefully this goes without saying but the bulb in the picture is temporary.
