need help with backyard on the water

I am blessed to have this great piece of land and I would love to have a drop dead back yard with a fabulous deck, jacuzzi, water feature (no ponds) and lots of flowers. Houzz followers are so talented, I need all the help you are willing to offer. Thanks in advance.

Your home is beautfiul and has infinite possibilities. Developing a "drop dead" backyard usually involves a design pro and I would encourage you to have a working plan developed by a local landscape designer or landscape architect. The absolute magic question to ask the designer is, "If I don't hire you, whom would you recommend?" The best designers/architects will smile at the question and it will get you closer to your goal.

Also, the slope in your photos will be seen as a great opportunity and not an obstacle by those who understand and feel the site. Good luck with your project!!

You must get a top landscape designer for your fabulous property. If I could go back in time, I would do it for sure. We keep dumping money into pieces of the puzzle and never come close to getting beautiful results. If you want a pool and hot tub, you need an extra $100K for that. I would allow $150k for your property at least!! That is a low estimate if you go full Monty.

Your backyard is so beautiful already that I would keep your design very simple and clean. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

You can pretty much do anything all the way up to a landscaped paradise with that area. Figure out budget first and then start thinking about what you like. Or go to a good firm or design build company with a good portfolio and they will have no problem giving you options. Lush floral paradise or formal garden with tight hedges and simple color,. The options are really limitless just mostly depends on what you would like to spend. IMO you can easily spend 100k on your space but master plans and phases are always an option.

You have an amazing yard there. Definitely get a professional..Have an idea as to what you would like to have done and get a quote. See their portfolio as well and also try to see their work on site. It's a big project so you want to make sure that you get what you want.
