How can I create a more defined living room and dining room?

I want to create a cozy separate living and dining room. I think the foyer and entrance Make it difficult to flow nicely without wasting a lot of space. I just finished painting with the exception of the accent walls because I am still looking for a color. Not including the foyer, the dImensions of the room are 22 1/2 ft. x 18 ft. Any ideas for separating this space?
