What height faucet for 6". High Ceramic sink?

Hi, my ceramic vessel sink is 16W x 16D round. The sides are 6 inches high. What is a good height for the faucet? Is there a general rule that I should be taking into account when fitting the faucet with a vessel sink when it comes to height? Thanks!

When you put the faucet next to the sink, the lip / spout should overlap the bowl with at least 4 inches. As for the height, put your hands between the sink and the faucet and see if it fits good when you make a wash motion. You don't want to bump up against either the sink, nor the faucet. For some sinks it is 8" and others is 12".
