Please chime in on our kitchen design

We are in a loft in which the living space (kitchen, dining room, living room) is 50' long, 19' wide, with 12' ceilings. Think of it as a giant shoe box. One end wall, I will call it the front, is taken up almost entirely by a window - the only window in the space - and that is where the living room is situated. Currently, the kitchen is in the middle, and dining room at the back. We are planning on switching positions of the dining room and kitchen, and I have attached a depiction of the planned kitchen layout I did up using the Ikea kitchen planning tool (we may or may not use Ikea cabinets). The kitchen will be completely open to the rest of the space. The L-shaped indent is for an area over an open staircase, and there will be an open L-shaped railing (either 36" or 42" high) in front of the pantry/refrigerator/oven cabinet and along side the peninsula. In terms of scale, the sink, cook top and all wall cabinets are 36", the pantry and oven cabinets are 30", the refrigerator cavity is 42", and the peninsula is 6'. The peninsula also has 24' cabinets facing the kitchen and 12" cabinets facing the dining room. Considering a beverage/wine fridge in the peninsula, a bulkhead over the cabinets along the back wall, and widening and/or fancying up the vent hood cabinet over the cook top. Comments, criticisms, questions, and suggestions are all welcome.
