It's difficult to choose furniture to go with your wall color. Invest in your large pieces of furniture first, sofa, rug, window coverings, then choose a paint color.
Also, it's impossible to choose colors on a computer monitor, without being in the space.What are your floors, amount of light?

We get a ton of light pouring in. We really like the wall color so we thought we might as well match it. The floors are dark ash wood but we will get an creamy, wool area rug to brighten it up.

agree with sandy. that being said, any darker neutral will be both kid-friendly and flexible enough to work with many paint colors for when you decide to change the paint again later on. I like number 2 in the first photo and numbers 3 and 6 in the 2nd.

Your paint has a real green undertone on my monitor. Paint is cheap. Go ahead and choose your furniture, you may have to repaint once your furniture is in place, and you see it with your permanent elements :)

Do you have other furniture for the room or are you planning to buy after the sofa?

honestly? those are all so close, it's just a matter of tone. top pic, 3rd from left. I would choose the sofa and then pick a paint that matches. But realistically, all of those would 'go'.

I'd be a lot more worried about the quality UNDER any covering on ANY RH sofa. Sorry..........: ) This is a Brutal Truth. Watch for sagging and a total lack of support, along with pancaking cushions in .....?. Well, I hope you get a year from the sofa. Again, apologies, but you will spend a huge amount of time puffing/ fluffing this, to NO avail , and nothing but nothing will fix the soon realized sag and lack of support 'neath the flattened cushioning. I understand the appeal of the look of comfort and lounging. Just know what you are getting for your 2K or more. Yet another stylish illusion of comfort/quality from RH. I'd also add thirty percent to whatever time frame you are "promised" for delivery......fifty percent would also not be surprising, so please consider that as a "possible" to go with the virtually inevitable disappointments discussed above. Then comes the customer service , and the future "handling" of your inevitable complaints....... Start the email file now.

I didn't want to mention that, but it is true. RH is highly overpriced, trendy, made overseas furniture.

Off topic of sofas, but re RH..... Jan , do you have any recommendations for ordering task floor lights (similar to RH 's metier...etc)? I need two & am hesitant to order from them for the reasons you mentioned. Btw,I checked "allmodern " site, they have some but everything seemed to be "out of stock"

I'm not Jan, but can suggest Visual Comfort. I have ordered many products from them.

LOL I am Jan, and the single best task light on the planet is Holtkotter. There are many to select from, I have two actually. Halogen, adjustable, the bulb last forever it seems. A quality task lamp . I've had mine for over ten year years.......one bulb change I kid you not. Worth the expense, and every client who has one also loves it.

Most other "pharmacy" styles are just that. Style with a 60 watt incandescent bulb. I too love Visual Comfort. For the quality within great style..... but so much depends if the lamp is truly "task" for you. If it's just a way to shed a bit of light without a bulky shade......that's different.

I agree that any of those fabrics will go with the wall. I personally like the 4th at night and the 5th in day.

Beth, I have no information on the quality, but the vanity certainly looks nice.

With small children, probably the darker fabric is better.

IMO it really won’t matter because long before the sofa insides wear out the fabric will look like garbage if this is in a family room. All the fabric samples you show will stain with the first glass of grape juice or pizza sauce or greasy fingers from popcorn I would get a good quality leather sofa

There's also good commercial grade upholstery, Sunbrella comes in great choices these days.

I agree with many others that any of those fabrics work with the current wall color. I always tend to choose lighter colors, so my favorite swatch would be the first one on the left. I think RH offers larger samples btw.

Do you have more pictures of the space you are putting your sectional in? What kind of flooring do you have? Did you choose an area rug, yet? Some more things to consider. Sorry if you mentioned this already.

It's not going to matter, trust me. The dang sofa and guts will be ready for the front curb in fifteen months. Believe it. Do a scrubbable micro suede, or keep a basket of large quilts and throws handy when kids are sprawling.

Update: We found a designer to make us a better stronger version of the Cloud and we found a Crypton fabric that we love. Hoping it all turns out but definitely went for what we LOVE!
