New family room furniture

I don't have a before picture to post but my house is a new build so family room was completely empty before. I might change the picture of the map in the built ins but wanted to share what I have so far. Thanks!

P.S If you have any advice for what color cushions to get for the window seats please let me know!

Very pretty colors, love navy & yellow. Get a gray, yellow navy print or stripe for window seats. I would have put TV where map is (yes, I know it's a desk). I'm just not fond of TV's over FP especially when you have such a beautiful mantle. Right now the room doesn't look comfortable for TV watching. I would turn the rug (you could go for a larger rug) Turn sectional to face FP, move blue chairs opposite where they are now and yellow chair to other side of FP. I would also get some pillows with pattern right now everything is solid. Are you planning window treatments.

Thanks for the feedback, just wanted to mention the blue chairs are swivel chairs so can easily turn around.

I would do a gray, navy and goldfish Ikat print for the cushions.

I like your room! Put the TV wherever the most people (of the number of people who usually watch it) can watch it without a stiff neck. I guess these new sets are so thin you could mount it about the desk and still have a work surface?

Agree with damraws on the seat cushions color at least. It would be a lightning strike to find cushions the right size in the perfect print. If you don't sew or know someone who does, perhaps you can find a custom sewist on Etsy. And then make or have made a 2-3 pillows to match for the sofa/chairs! to tie it all together.

    Here are a couple fabrics:

    from spoonflower.com
(not an ikat but the right colors) ($17.50/yd)

    from buyfabrics.com

an ikat print (not an ikat weave!)($9/yd!)

Thanks everyone for the feedback. Greatly appreciated!

The sectional is from Scandanavian Designs, they also go by another brand named Dania. You can find locations here: http://www.scandinaviandesigns.com/location

Your color palette is the bee's knees! GLORIOUS!

I mean, cafe shutters in this space would be super amazing!

Then, what about very stylish Roman shades?

Looking forward to seeing the 'icing' on this beautifully designed room! Bravo!

Thank you strawberry47 those are some great pillows with some wonderful colors and patterns! I will check them out.

Also here is another closer up picture which shows the console (but not the stools). Still need to pick and print pictures for the frames! Thanks so much again everyone! I will upload a picture once I get the seating cushions and pillows :)

    Dear Houzzers,

I have an update to share. Got the gray seating cushions and pillows and also did some furniture re-arranging. Moved the console to the wall and replaced with a plant and moved the ottomans by the fireplace.

Do you think I need a third pillow for the window seat or its good as is?

If you're going for "spare", the two pillows look fine the way they are. If you're thinking it's TOO sparse, how about a mini-bolster (a cylinder) front-to-back just the depth of the seat in length, placed in the corner the two square ones aren't in?
