Anyone? The more I read, the more I think it should match by now. The builder agrees it "doesn't look right" and he is reaching back to the brick guy for his opinion.

My husband is a brick layer and I will ask him about this when I get off of work. I know on our own home that he bricked he said it would take a few days for the mortar to "cure" whatever that means. Maybe he can offer some input so I will come back and chime in later. Beautiful brick choice though!

Ugh what a pain! No of course that doesn't look right and I'd think after 3-4 weeks the color would be closer. Our brick was done over the course of the whole summer and each section took less than a week to match up. It almost looks as if they used a tinted mortar on that one section. Check the garbage and look for tint bags.

My bricklayer hubby said there could be many reasons for your brick work to look like this, it could be at timing as to when they struck the joints, how wet the mortar they used was. He said the mortar may weather out and look more consistent in a couple of months.
