I have a Queen Anne bedroom set that is in excellent condition and very good quality. I hate the gold hardware and would like to modernize without refinishing. Two problems 1. when I took off a handle the impression of the handle is still there. 2 the little decorative pieces in the middle are hammered on so there are no screw holes. Is there any large hardware that would update these pieces and what could I get to cover the middle pieces.
