I'm experiencing a similar dilemma. Our cabinet maker said that opening one of the larger drawers with one pull (two mounted on the drawer) would be fine - because he uses drawer glides that apparently are hefty enough to deal with the off-center pull. I'm considering using bin pulls for most of the drawers, and wider bar pulls from the same manufacturer (Cosmas) for the large drawers. Haven't installed anything yet, 'tho. If your drawer glides are very smooth and well-built, I'd say go with the double cup pulls.

I would not use 2 handles on a drawer just even for convienience sake who want to have to use 2 hands to open a drawer and I agree on these wide drawers a bar just looks better

Thanks. I am going to go with a wider cup pull. In other kitchens, as well as my previous one, I found that bars hang clothing and jab legs as you walk buy, so I am really wanting the cup pull.
