I like the color you already have. Another choice would be a color close to the color of the tile. If you want a contrasting color a light fern green would work.

Actually, that oak color lends a little warmth to the space. If you want to paint, I would pull out that darker color in you stone. do you have a spare tile you could take to the paint store?

You could also paint it the same shade that's on the walls.

consider doing some dark hardware for the cabs. they look bare as is.

Maybe a soft sage/gray color for the walls? "BM Sea Salt" comes to mind. The gray in the stone is more on the taupe side. bring home a few samples.

If you are paint the cabs yourself, use SW Pro-Classic or BM Advance, in a semi or gloss finish. Those two paints work the best on wood and wood trim.
