New house needs update. I may be the only one who loves the contrast of dark wood and oak! I just don't like it in every room. Main body of house is painted SW Aria Ivory, entryway Lenox Tan and accent wall in kitchen is custom color...green brown. Dated fireplace is grey brown and could be painted. I'd like to have 2-3 colors on main floor...accent walls? Great bookshelves I'd like to wallpaper or paint. Is it possible to paint baseboards same color as wall and leave doors oak in living area and entryway? Tile is off white with black accent. Suggestions? Painters are scheduled after first of year.
