We couldn't function without our family calendar on the wall!! It's a framed dry erase board so it looks cute too!

Calendar for events and a sheet with daughter's school schedule...on the fridge of course. And then a white ceramic countertop dry erase message "sculpture". That is where reminders of things to do go. Then there is the ubiquitous and anywhere accessible computer reminders and calendar. Redundancy goes a long way in our house. Always plenty of toilet paper in reserve as well.

So, why are we always asking what is up for the day?

i use my calendar on the computer for far flung dates but make lists on the desktop for other stuff. if the electricity goes off, i am allowed to read or look at mags to my hearts content. since we get some huge rainstorms the latter is is a good possibility at least twice a year.

This was actually easier when there were kids here - a calendar on the fridge and a set of hanging sorters on the wall nearby for bills, reminders, etc. Now that we're an empty nest, and we have *smartphones* (HA!) himself and I have it sprawled all over the dining room table. I used to work from home so the PC was upstairs in the actual office, but now everything is portable - so it's here, there, and everywhere. <sigh> This won't change until we re-do the space (or move - my preference) into a space that suits what our needs are now.

Always the calendar hanging on the wall. The grown kids rely on their Smart Phones, but dinosaur Dad & Mom still use paper and pen. I do use the computer calendar for reminders.

We have the calendar on the board, reminders on the fridge, and library books & school papers on the other side of the kitchen, groan. But we are in the process of putting it in the old doorway/now a wall and it's going to be beautiful! I'm hoping it helps to eliminate a lot of paper and mess!

We've always had a paper calendar where everyone is expected to put at least those things Mom needs to be aware of. I put all of my appointments there as well as on my electronic calendar so anyone in the family will know when I'll be unavailable for anything they might need me for. The kids were pretty good at posting their things there and I thought I had everyone trained until last week when my husband let me know 10 minutes before we needed to leave that his appointment he'd asked me to accompany him to was that morning. He'd put it on his own calendar but not the public one and I'd made another appointment that had the potential of being overlapped by his.

I also have a small whiteboard under the calendar where I've put the heading "Dinner ideas" since meal planning is more onerous to me than actually cooking it. When we had kids at home, they'd make, sometimes reasonable, suggestions. Sadly, now that we pretty much empty nesters, the only thing that's written under it is my suggestion of "leftovers."

The family consists of two people and two cats. The closest thing to a family information center around here is my memory.

Even during my phase of being two people and two cats, I needed to know when theater tickets were coming up or vacations were scheduled, just to be able to make the occasional social plan. (Part of the problem is when things get scheduled Way Ahead.) A calendar continues to provide that service well.

On the back of the door of our kitchen pantry closet is a list of frequently used or emergency contact numbers, including repair companies, the power and cable companies, newspaper delivery, doctors, neighbors, etc., plus Wifi passwords -- useful for us and for any childcare or healthcare provider working in our home. We have also posted there a list with a family member's insurance info, medications and doctors that caregivers could provide to EMT personnel.

Yes we do. It is called FB messenger. My sig other and I always have our iPads with us. The other method is when we sit at the large table in the kitchen every day and I read out what is on various lists on a notebook that I keep.

Yes, it's called a dining room table! It contains a calendar (just in case the power goes out and I can't use the one on my computer), bills, the computer, an assortment of paperwork and the never ending "to-do list". Nope, don't eat on it!

Has master calendar with color coding for individuals, to-do and shopping lists that could be used for other lists, meal planning & message center I currently don't use, and contacts (although currently contacts can only be entered/modified from a computer).
