Calendula is a hardy, full sun, outdoor annual or short lived perennial. It isn't an indoor plant and I am afraid it will never be happy in a home environment. It will always be too warm and too dark. Yours appears very dry and to be suffering from lack of light. It is a fraction of the size it should be for its age. Trying to keep it growing through a NY winter inside is going to be tough. All you can do is put it in the coolest, brightest place you can and cross your fingers. Don't bother to repot it - just ensure it has sufficient water. AFAIK it cannot be rooted from soft cuttings.

I do, and I knew it was really meant for outdoor but I'm feeling pretty sentimental, haha. I will try a different spot, thank you so much!
