You can find really nice pillows at Pier 1 Imports. Since you have a navy rug I would add pillows with navy in it to bring more of that color into the room. As far as the paint color, you can do the walls a little deeper and darker since you have a lot of light. You can go with a gold/yellow such as Sherwin Williams Gold Vessel or Dakota Wheat. Blue and gold are nice complimentary colors.

Remove the shelves by the window and center the sofa with the window.

TV should be lowered and placed above a credenza.

Add a tall plant in the corner between the windows,

Add a floor lamp on the other side.

Gorgeous room, sectional and art! TV not so much. Looks like someone could come around that corner and hurt themselves! I think I would put a plant at that corner as a visual warning and soften up that spot. A console would be nice if you can fit one on that wall. Here is a coffee table that would look great!

This is a substantial piece and would compliment the rug and other furnishings. You could put some accessories on it that bring in some of the chrome I see in the side table. But Iike gold with the rug which I love. I am OK with the size.

Here is another one if that one is too large (probably is) but Iike the "solid" block of gold. As an artist you can appreciate that I think. Solid block of your cobalt blue and solid block of the white sectional. btw, I like the white shelf. It is unique and I bet reflects your personality! Since you seem to be using the space adjoining (dining room?) for a studio, you might want to get a nice maybe oriental screen in black with some gold to pull out at night and give your creative brain a rest. Or just when you don't want your work exposed.

What I like about this coffee table for you is it breaks up all the straight lines you have going. :) Enjoy!

8 x 10 doesn't sound too large but it touches the wall and doesn't give you options.

If that shelf can be removed, I suggest you center your rug on the window and about 12-15" from any walls. Then center the sofa on the window as well, pulling it closer to the TV for best viewing. Add one of the great coffee tables above and pillows in two of your favorite complimentary colors. Ceiling mounted drapes would work well for you and could cut some glare when watching TV (which may need to be lowered &/or centered on that wall.) What is your plan for the "boob light" builder grade ceiling fixtures?

I'd look for a pillow with multiple colors that interest you and then build off of that with solid color, textured pillows. Or just have a bunch of different textured solid pillows. For pillows, Etsy seems to be a good source though it will take some looking and I've had good luck at Home Goods & Marshall's if you have one near though it is a hit and miss. Also, looks like you are an artist? If so, have you considered painting on fabric and making them into pillows.

Many of the major paint companies have on their sites where you can down load a photo of your room and "paint' the room with whatever color you want. This is a good way to get an idea of what you like. Just remember monitor color distortion can happen so you always want to do a sample before you commit to a gallon.

All really good suggestions. Since it's a small place I will probably paint white and light grey and add recess lighting and tall floor lamp and lamp shade for the gold scone we found at a habitat. As far as coffee table you all nailed it!! now looking for coffee table because I want a low 14-16'' height and I would like gold as it matches well with blue rug. What do you think about this costly one? Here are some more pictures. Pillow oh pillow where are you? Can't wait for more suggestions to make this room look "a la magazine"
