I love the whitney. I believe I have that or something similar in my closet. I don't think it looks cheap at all. What about the Bellingham? It's got a little of the tan in it.

Have you looked at the Pental collection or does it have to be Cambria?

This "gray Lagoon" from MSInternational is nice.

We agree with Beth that Whitney wouldn't look cheap at all. However, Fairy White and Bianco River would be lovely choices, too.

So you like white but you don't want the inclusions (little speckles), or what?

It's hard to make recommendations without (a) a sense of what you're looking for, and/or (b) a sense of how you think of your style -- right now I see very formal ceiling + relatively rustic cabinets, and unclear about flooring (a literal match for cabinets? a little lighter or darker?) or whether your paint, etc., will go warmer or cooler...

Cambria Newport is gorgeous -- pretty much a pure white in appearance (actually slightly off-white), with no inclusions and just a subtle white-on-white veining pattern. Worth seeing in person, but here it is in my kitchen:

No sparkle though. Honestly, they have so many whites, from plain to marbled to fine grained -- I'd just go somewhere that has a good selection of their samples, and bring along one of your cabinet drawers. (You can order samples from their website online too, but that will involve some delay in shipping; very hard to judge these things from photos online.) Hopefully you can find something in a color and texture that you like, maybe even something you hadn't considered.

I love your cabinets! I would consider using a honed, suede or leathered material. I think Silestone's Lyra Suede would look fantastic! You said you need a Cambria product, and I believe you can get Cambria honed, however there will be extended lead times.

The floor is a touch darker than the cabinets. I love the style of the ceiling. The cabinets are beautiful but a compromise with my husband who leans towards rustic which I hate:( The counter top has to be a happy medium and I have no eye for these things. I'll upload some pictures of a couple samples I already have.

Your instincts seem great for your space. Whatever you do, though- consider any places on your countertops that might need a seam. Very white with little patterns/veins require a really great install. While you can mitigate with the right seam seal color and a great eye with superior attention to detail, it's nearly impossible not to see them, if you need them.

Will that bug you? Consult hard and often with your installer. I had one who really listened to my concerns, and waved me off of a couple of light colors- based on size of island/counters and "what will bug me"- and turned my head to others. A great installer can be a wonderful partner in design, if you're going it alone.

Heather if I remember correctly the first picture is of Torquay. jck910 do you have a picture of your cabinets with the windemere? 902juanita I am having them professionally installed. The home builder could do it but I am going pro. I have talked to them in length about no seams on the island. They say it is no problem as long as the color I chose comes in a "jumbo" slab.

Also jck910 does the windemere have a gold tint? All my finishes are brushed nickel

I like the Torque. I love my white kitchen countertops. I didn't have quartz option, only granite. I don't like granite, so went for white on white solid surface. It is gorgeous.

I have recently used the Ella in a custom spec home in Houston and it was gorgeous. Cabinets were painted Sherwin Williams Proper Gray and the walls were Eider white. The Ella was a beautiful contrast with just the right amount of dark veining and it is an excellent product overall.

If you go with the bottom sample you won't need to worry about the veining matching (or not). It also looks great with the cabinets.

Don't let them install the 4 inch backsplash of counter quartz. Use all tile for the backsplash. The counter people will try to talk you into the 4 inch backsplash.

This is Windemere. It is tan with copper and charcoal veining and some sparkle. I love it.

Auntthelma that is a very nice color! Did they advise you not to use a crockpot directly on top of it?

No. I've put my crockpot right on top. I never put hot pans right on it and I don't use abrasive sponges. But it really is tough and can probably take hot pans. I just am careful. It cost a bunch of $ and stress and I don't want to do it again.

I haven't seen Berwyn in person but I'm going to make a point to see it before I choose! I wish a showroom was close by. Hard permanent decision to make.

I like Windermere and Torquay. Windermere is my favorite:) But it just depends on what look you are going for. Windermere has a warm cream base while Torquay has a bright white marble look...

I am leaning towards Swainbridge for my kitchen countertop and now I am wondering about backsplash. Help again!

If you want a high quality look and feel, I'd consider marble countertops. A beautiful Carrera or a creamy Calacatta would really stand out against your color scheme. Just a thought!

Sorry, but with that backsplash even done in the direction originally intended, I would recommend a quiet countertop. Two things can't be the star of the show, usually!

Puddin03...are you original poster? Leaning toward Cambria Swanbridge?

Not unless she also goes by "cadamitis"! I recommended cadamitis check out Swanbridge a bit ago, and I like it better than most out there in the white line right now. They cleaned it up and improved upon previous ones.

Awesome! I can't wait to see it. I think you are going to love it!! Do check out the slab and work with the fabricators closely so you get what you want. Do not ASSUME ANYTHING. Like "I assumed they knew what they were doing." Not always. Gotta watch these folks like a hawk, believe me! I am thinking about this for my next home too! So am anxious to see how it works out. Did you think it looked "cleaner" and more real than other choices? Less little flecks?

I am also trying to decide between Swanbridge and Berwyn for the bathroom with white cabinets. I am having difficulty making a decision and wondering if Berwyn will pop more or is it outdated? Swanbridge and Weybourne look very similar, any thoughts on this? Flooring under consideration if a pearl with light tan and whites.

I am really hoping to see pictures of Swanbridge in people's homes. I am torn between it, Torquay and Berwyn for my kitchen remodel. There are lot's of pictures of Torquay and Berwyn, but barely anything for Swanbridge.

Swanbridge and Weybourne are pretty similar. They were my two final choices for countertops (Torquay was in the running as well but was eliminated). The main difference is that (1) Weybourne has various marbled shades of white and a little true gray - no other colors, whereas Swanbridge has gray/blue marbling, and (2) Swanbridge has gray undertones also. I was sure Swanbridge was the one until I took them into my actual kitchen and set it on the cabinets. I instantly chose the Weybourne because my cabinets are light gray and the Swanbridge just didn't have enough contrast. The Weybourne looked crisp and clean, and Swanbridge just looked dull in my kitchen. Torquay would have looked great also, but I ruled it out because it has little dots in it that I just didn't care for. The Weybourne has been installed and I'm really happy with it.
