My husband and I embarked on a total renovation of a 1960s home in late 1998. We wanted a designer involved early in the process. I saw an ad for Eklektik Interiors and was impressed by their style - I called to make an appointment. We were very fortunate that Stephanie was assigned as our designer. Stephanie was instrumental in assisting us with locating and making selections of designer materials - saving us countless hours. She was very attentive to our ideas and comments. We both love design; therefore this was very important to us. She is great at interpreting an idea and making it happen! Stephanie proved to be a great mediator between husband and wife, between homeowner and contractor, and at times, between contractor and subs. Her involvement was extremely helpful to my husband and I in keeping the construction ball rolling. Her soft approach to problem-solving is truly a gift. With our vision and Stephanie’s input and expertise, we truly achieved the “wow” factor and now live in a showcase home. Visitors don’t know what to look at first because we created so many interesting design elements in the house. Stephanie is a real asset to the design industry. We would definitely use her again in future projects.

My husband and I found a place in the perfect location, but it needed some serious updating. And though we'd never worked with a designer before, we knew we needed help on this one. Stephanie was referred to us by our realtor and she helped us transform an ultra-traditional space into a place we will enjoy for years to come. She interviewed us about our style, looked at pictures of our previous home, and made suggestions for updates that not only suit our style but complement the overall design of the house. Then she worked very effectively with our contractor to ensure that the project proceeded on schedule and to her standards. I especially appreciate that she was able to incorporate existing pieces into a seamless design that we love. And everyone who sees it seems to love it, too. One kind soul even suggested that it should appear in Architectural Digest. Even though the bulk of the work was completed by early December, Stephanie continues to provide advice and support as we tweak a great space into our idea of perfection. Love that designer and recommend her without hesitation!!

My husband and I recently decided that our downstairs living space needed a facelift. This included painting, redoing our fireplace, our built-ins, lighting, and the powder room. We are both busy professionals raising two young daughters, so our time to find and coordinate contractors and plumbers and painters, as well as actually design our space, is limited. Thankfully, I found Stephanie on Houzz and she made the entire process not only easy for us, but everything turned out gorgeous. When we hired Stephanie, we expected someone who would simply design our space on the computer and then tell us what to buy and what to do. But what we got was so much more than that. From the initial concept through overseeing construction, Stephanie was involved in every aspect of this project. I have no doubt that it would not have turned out as good as it did if not for her watchful eye and high standards. With regards to the people who worked on our house, Stephanie recommended people that she trusts to get the job done, and everyone who worked on our project was of the absolute highest quality and professional demeanor. The best part was that she coordinated their work and their time for me so I didn't have to. Stephanie has a way of making you feel like you are the only customer she has, even though she is very busy and in high demand. From unlimited texts and phone calls, visits, and shopping trips, I truly felt like she was 100% invested in my project and I never needed to nag her to get something done. We developed such a good relationship with Stephanie and were so impressed with her work that we decided to hire her to design a playroom for our daughters, which is currently underway (and so far, coming out great!). I cannot say enough good things about Stephanie. If you are looking for someone who will do a great job for you and exceed all of your expectations, she is definitely the designer to hire.

Stephanie of Design + Dwell Interiors! Her company name says it all. Most homes in the city do not have a lot of space so Stephanie has the vision of creating a well Design you can Dwell in! We highly recommend!

I would highly recommend Stephanie. We needed help with an addition on a 100 year old bungalow. My husband likes mid-century modern and I love vintage cottage. So needless to say, Stephanie had her work cut out for her as it is very hard to blend those styles. I also take a long time to make a decision. Stephanie not only had the design knowledge but also the psychological figured out. She dealt with the contractor issues we were having and it was a relief.
