Any suggestion on flooring would like to remove carpet. And replace it with vinyl plank flooring or laminate plank flooring.

You have a good eye and have done a nice job here. I don't know anything about luxury vinyl, but others on Houzz have given it good reviews. I understand it wears well, looks good, and is not too expensive.

My only suggestion is to edit the top of the sideboard a bit. Between all the similar-sized objects and their reflections, it's pretty busy and hard to see your Ganesha. I would keep that and maybe pair it with a smaller, trailing plant, or a couple of smaller candles.

IMO it is over done and too many pillows where the heck would a guest sit ? Get rid of that whatever it is on the window between the drapes take away 1/2 of the stuff off the sideboard

Admit the sofa pillow application is a bit overdone, but the eclectic style you have on the sideboard is fun and appropriate!

123 Remodeling inc. Would love to go thrift shopping with you. I'm Not to far from the windy city Chicago. I'm in Indiana. The stand I have the mirror on, is and old fashioned record player, that I converted into storage. paid 10.00 dollars for that and the mirror i paid 45.00 dollars and stained all the pieces.

I thought it looked like a record player - I saw one just like it at an estate sale in Michigan a few years ago.

i notice a lot of professionals design with a lot of pillows on the couch..

So I don't see were that is a problem when guest come you can always remove pillows. Patricia Colwell i post three pictures the colorful one is the way the room is now with the white furniture.

I'm into too many pillows - they're not supposed to be practical, they're just there to look nice or hold while you're sitting. They can live in the record player when you need space.

Lux vinyl can be nice; affordable with a lot of options. Much warmer than tile. Would agree a darker to mid tone floor based on your set up. Also agree to declutter the side board. Rule of threes will help to balance it.

All of these rooms have a lot of pillows on there couch and love seats. This is the way Interior decorators have designed couches with pillows. Pillows can always be removed. In my opinion pillows just add color and sometime depth to a room.

    More pillows I love it

Deep sofas with lots of pillows are very handy for short legged people. I agree that the sideboard is a bit overloaded, but that's easily remedied. I could live here if all the red was switched to navy blue. Red and gold feel a bit jangly to my nerves! I don't think I could relax with those colors. Can't see the lamps' details but I think larger shades and a shorter harp might enhance them. You're doing a great job!

hi. have you considered cork plank flooring?

We put in vinyl plank flooring in our kitchen and I love it. Easy to install, inexpensive & lots of compliments. I avoided going too dark as everything shows up on dark floors. We used Allure by TrafficMaster.
