Nursery Window Treatment Advice Needed

I am in much needed advice for window treatments for my nursery. I would like privacy but also something that looks good.

My gut tells me to go with cellular shades for the top down/bottom up aspect and put a faux roman shade at the top to hide the cellular shade.

My other option is to just find a top down/bottom up roman shade but that could cost a good amount of money.

I can't use drapes since the double window has a window seat and I'm not into short drapes.

Suggestions? Thanks for the help! (Please ignore the nursery room mess :) Work in progress )

based on my 4 month old grandson... you'll want total black out shades for day time naps.

What a pretty room!!! I am old so my style might not be yours.....but those windows would be perfect with white cafe curtains on rings! Would not do blinds/shades unless you absolutely need them. Also you are most likely planning to use lamps......that overhead light s so harsh. Best wishes with your baby!

I have been checking out how to make roman shades from blinds. Lots of tutorials out there for it, and much more budget friendly than custom made.

You can install blinds or shades on both windows and curtains on just one without looking unbalanced. Ex.

What about shutters? We have these in our nursery and they are great for privacy and also for keeping the room dark

I would go with wood blinds & you can dress them up with a valance.
