You need something large if that's a large canvas of your family or possibly a a decorative wrought iron piece. Or it could be just a purchased peice of art but you need either one really large item that stands out not neutral or maybe 3 that are roughly 24 inches each!

Also a table in front of the rug of some sort to tie it all in!

You already have a collage wall so i would do one large piece of art hung so that the bottom is just above the sofa

My take... maybe some color on the walls would bring them a bit more intimacy and enhance the warmth of your beautiful floor. Add a couple of ottomans and some simple art scaled to the space.
