I would lean towards a warm grey for all walls to ensure continuity and softness. In a small area try to limit the number of colors... for a more elegant look. I am not able to see the colors of your door knobs, but a stainless steel finish would be ideal.

A fun wayt to add a punch of color is to do it with accessories such as a large bowl on the island or a couple of colored glass jars on the counter top to store spaghettis, flower... Plus you'll be able to update with the seasons...

Cute nook area,,,wish I had one. are you going to do some built in seating? are you leaving the wood a the natural color or painting?

would you like more of a steely blue color paint? Solitude, Dior Gray ? If you are painting the wood, Stunning would look nice. Paint the 'beam' in the same color as the wall unless you want to draw attention to it.Don't know if you are redoing ceiling and lighting, but obviously some recessed light and a hanging chandy over the nook are essential to bring in more light.

Thanks so much for your ideas. Unfortunately I can't do anything with the lighting and I'm not sure what space I have because I can't move that radiator and I'm not in there yet lol. Not changing the wood color though that I know. I've actually been looking at Dior but solitude looks pretty. I'm going to try that on my color viewer now lol. Thanks so much for your feedback! :)
