Last year I hosted a commercial seed round robin with great success, so let's do it again! I will send out a small priority box full of brand new, commercially packed, vegetable and flower seeds. I will send out two packets of each seed variety included in the box, along with a list of names and addresses of who the box needs to go to next. When you receive the box, you will go through all the seeds, removing no more than one of any variety, replacing your choices with the same number of new seed packets commercially packaged for 2017. If you choose two vegetables and three annuals, you will put back into the box two packs of vegetables and three packs of annual flowers. If you choose six types of perennials, you will replace them with six packs of perennials.

When replacing the seed packets, you may not put in more than two of each individual variety of seeds... two snowpeas, two seashell cosmos, two mammoth sunflowers, etc. What we are striving to do is provide a variety of seeds to choose from for each individual who receives the box.

Once you have made your choices and replaced them with new seeds, you will pick a name and address from the remaining labels, and use that label to send the box onto its next destination. The next-to-last recipient will send the box to me, completing the round robin!

I am going to limit this year's round robin to five to seven people, hopefully giving it a quick turnaround time so we can all begin growing our seeds at the right time. I will take sign-ups for this until February 15th. If we get our group sooner, then the robin will fly sooner.
