Long story short the door needs to be replaced and we are looking for some change

Assuming the exterior of your home will remain the same color, blue could be a good option for you. I included a picture of a job we have done above.

I really love the blue. Here's some thoughts (forgive the mess - I'm trying to use the SW site with a mouse) these are Adriatic Sea (more teal), Down Pour (more gray), and Regatta (just a dark blue).

And some earthy reds and oranges for balance.

Brick Paver, Earthen Jug, Habanero Chile, and Husky Orange.

Thank you everyone for all your fast responses! The front door doesn't need to match the color of the garage door or exterior trim? Can I pull off an iron door setup and still keep the style of the house?

Orange or bittersweet will pull it out of the darkness. I think a more contemporary style of door would be helpful too. Will your foyer be dark without some glass? Do you think a full glass double door could work?

I'd say a modern glass door.

Faux wood would look great, or you could also go with something in a richer red tone to stand out.

A great accent color like mentioned above will help define the area and lighten up the dark colors around it. I would go with the bittersweet suggestion myself. It will become a statement piece for the property. Best of luck!
