Judging from the pictures, I think the Cadet Gray looks best both in the sun & shade. Can't wait to see the final product!

I opted for the darkest color in order to get the most contrast against the light color of your siding. The lighter shades would just blend in. The color won't matter that much when you are sitting beneath it but will be seen at a distance.
