Formal Dining Room Turned Home Office

We decided to transform our underused formal dining room into a home office. We combined new furniture & decor items with thrift store finds that we made-over ourselves.
Hope you like it!

Nice choices but to cluttered for an office , it looks like you have a nice display for a gift shop .

Interesting Genevieve, I thought the same thing when I saw this a few days ago. The owner has a great idea going, but needs to dial it back just a little. too many pieces of white of similar mass. Perhaps if the bases of the lamps matched the blue in the chairs it would tie this more together.

It's a great job! Maybe bookcases could house larger storage boxes rather than smaller items. I think a bit too many small accessories on open bookshelves. The eye has a lot to focus on. It is nice and restful with the color choices.

It's beautiful, clean and organized. Homey too. And the details are great. You did a great job mixing patterns and textures. However, if there's a comment I have the room needs so punch to it. I think the gray rug becomes washed out with the whites and the blues. Get a rug that has more character and stands out in the room. That will make it even more interesting than it already is.

Do you remember where you found/bought the bookshelves from?

Love the concept of using an underused room, but I clicked on this bc it looked so busy to me and wondering why. Now w closer inspection; I agreed w comments above about using too many white accessories. It's kind of an overkill IMO.

Agree with the overkill comments. Way too cluttered looking for me. But maybe the rest of the house has the cluttered look also.
