So my townhouse has this awkward walkway that passes the powder room, basement door, stairs, and then goes into the kitchen. It's a high traffic walkway that desperately needs a runner--except it shares space with the living room, which also needs an area rug. There's not really much transition space, but I'm struggling over how to cover this space. Getting a big area rug doesnt feel like the right solution. My carpets (previously installed ) are unfortunately pretty cheap, so they're showing wear fast. There's also this weird angled corner that makes getting a runner even more complicated.

The room is about 11' x 18', and the walkway is 4' of carpet from door to that weird corner, then 10' from that corner to the kitchen.

Please excuse the clutter and emptiness...it's definitely in progress lol
