Torn between 2 cabinet colors- help!

Hello everyone! I posted this in design dilemmas- I'm not sure if it's a no-no to post here too? If so, I apologize!

You guys helped me years ago when I remodeled a kitchen in my old place, I know I'll get some great advice this time around! We've narrowed it to 2, but we need to make a choice by tomorrow!

The color choices are Urban Stone (which is like a light warm grayish
color) and Studio Gray- both from Cliq Studios. The style will be the
Dayton (shaker) style with bar pulls. Sink will be white farmhouse. The
kitchen is small, but has one almost floor to ceiling 71" wide window in
it, and will have recessed lighting. We have not chosen floor color
yet, but it will be hardwood.

If we do U.S., I like Zodiaq London Sky with it. If we do the S.G., I like Zodiaq Neve.

I love the U.S. because I'm a big fan of white/white/white kitchens,
and I feel like this is kind of a little twist on that. But I love the
S.G. because I just love gray anything. I worry though, that it's too
trendy.

I was thinking a white/light backsplash either way. HELP!

Photos are of actual samples, and then two photos I pulled that show them in actual kitchens.

I'm adding a screenshot of the future kitchen design. The 71"
wide window is directly behind you if you are standing at the sink.

I'm also adding a photo of the two grays next to a white cabinet sample. Gives a better idea of what the Urban Stone looks like.

Thank you SO much, everyone who read this all the way through!

Huh. I rather like the darker gray, but when I look at the expanse of cabinetry in the "future kitchen," I worry that the darker color would make this space seem overly dungeon-y. Are there windows opposite these cabinets which would lighten things up? I also like the lighter gray, but is it gray enough for you? In the quartz photo it looks creamy.

BTW- I really like the two quartz samples you've picked for the two different grays. Spot on!

suzanne_sl Thank you!! Very good points you make here. There is one giant window- almost floor to ceiling, and about 71" wide. It would be right behind you if you were standing at the sink. But other than that, no other natural light- just some recessed lights.

It does look creamy! So weird- with the kitchen light on, it looks creamy and with it off it looks gray.

I think it's gray enough for me- I guess my worry is that it will be too boring?

I overthink EVERYTHING, so this is torture for me. lol

And thank you about the quartz too!! Makes me feel better about those decisions. :)

I really like the darker grey, but to me it would really matter what is going on in the rest of the house. If opens up to a room where you have that color scheme going on great if not I would probably wonder where that came from.

I'm not going to be any help, because I like them both. Honestly, I don't think you could go wrong either way. Your giant window sounds like it should provide plenty of light.

One thing I do when I have these decisions to make is to flip a coin. If you are okay with the result of the coin flip, either you really were indifferent, or you weren't and it went in your favor. BUT, if you had a preference and the coin flip went the other way, you should be able to tell immediately from your reaction that the coin made the WRONG choice. I know, it's mental game playing, but I've found it helps bring out a subconscious preference.

I love the dark grey and to make it work without a ton of natural light, I would focus on recessed, in cabinet and under cabinet lighting.

If you google "cliq studios reviews" there's a link to the Houzz site where many reviewers have posted pictures of their remodeled kitchens and I think some have used these cabinet colors. I think the reviewer pics only appear on a desktop computer, not a tablet (at least that's how it works for me). You might want to check out if you haven't already.

10-12 years ago we looked at a lovely home with gray cabinets and thought they were aweful today we think gray is really nice but that reaction still hangs in our mind....i think you should pick the color you really like and not worry about the rest, but make sure you're choosing what you like and not what the trend is now nice colors......

Just wanted to hop back on and say THANK YOU to all of you guys. I appreciate you taking the time to help me sort out my decision! I ended up placing my order for the Urban Stone (lighter gray) last night, and I am SO SO excited.

Thank you again for all being so generous with your time and opinions!

Great, please follow-up with how you like your cabinets, and how Cliq works out for you. I read such mixed reviews.

I think you will be really happy with that choice. Much more neutral to blend with the rest of your home. I too considered the dark grey but I think it's a trend. Congrats can't wait to see!

Nice choice! My cabs are similar color - painted the Benjamin Moore color 'River Reflections'. Still love it, even years on. (Painted the cabs 5 years ago, and got new granite two years ago. It's such a great color.)
