I think it's fine, but what might be bugging you is the color. The black or dark brown just stands out too much from the cream pillar and white and blue curtains.

The problem is that it's clearly not a real antique. It's a fake. I prefer real things around me.

And if it were me, I'd rather not have huge clock reminding me about the time in the living room or den.

This is not my actual living room. It's a sitting room attached to my kitchen and we really like and use the clock there. I could see replacing it with something with softer colors.

I like the color that it is, I'd be lost without a clock in my family room ... I must look at it a dozen or more times a day!

They might not be real antiques, but what does it matter? I love 'em!

I don't want an antique clock .... who wants to remember to wind them?? Quartz movements, battery run for me! All of the above nice.

Where did you find those clocks? I like the last one the best but I like the first one too

Why a clock at all IMO clocks in LR and DR are just a reminder to guests about the time and really in this day and age we have so many things that remind us of the time do you really need a clock there instead of a nice piece of art
