I agree with JudyG that the shutters make the house look a bit busy. Perhaps a paneled shutter would be a better choice. I like the current trim color around your door. It seems to match your mortar. I would change your carriage lights to black to match hour shutters and so they stand out better against the house and add a black wrought iron railing.

Are you changing the window above the front door? I think you'd need to shorten it to accommodate a door overhang.

You have a lovely home! I like all of your ideas but I think that the foundation plants all need to be removed. Fresh landscaping will have a huge impact.

Great canopy, though I doubt this is made from copper.
