ALL I AM ASKING HERE is which of the yellows is best? Not asking for different scheme or bedding!

None. They're all too vivid to meet your initial request for a soft yellow.

I learned from experience even the very palest yellow can become extremely yellow on your walls. As already mentioned, test out some shades on boards first. Your perfect, happy yellow is out there, for sure.

I like butter up or banana cream. But as a prev poster said, they can custom match.

I painted a bathroom yellow, pale yellow the color of wheat. When done it looked like the yellow pages. Be careful of yellow.

I was taught that with yellows, you should find the color you think you like and go to the lightest possible color on the swatch. Yellows always read much more intense when they're on the walls. You might look at SW Morning Sun.

4th one from top on right. I think it will look better than the pale yellows. It will be a beautiful room when you get done.

I have sw jonquil in my guest room because I love yellow. And it is very yellow! This room also gets a lot of sun from morning until about 3 in the afternoon and it absolutely glows! I love it. The room has white trim and a silver gray carpet. I have added navy and turquoise with touches of pink.

I love yellow -- have tried various shades throughout my rooms over the years. I've settled on Hepplewhite Ivory from Benjamin Moore. It has a very soft, creamy yellow tint which is very subtle but lovely on the walls.

... and you like yellow. So, you want a pretty, soft yellow wall color that works with the aqua drapes.

All of the comments cautioning about yellow are spot on. Typically - not always - but typically the best yellow wall colors are found on chip strips of colors many refer to as "beige".

These are good yellows. Clover Honey is really pretty on the chip.

As mentioned a couple time above, selecting the right yellow is a challenge. When all walls are painted it amplify's in strength or the intensity increases greatly. Color is a personal preference & there is nothing wrong with selecting yellow as a back drop to support your linens. But since the patterned linens are dynamic on it's own... the bed will certainly be the "Star". The walls should act as a back drop...or you will have a circus happening in your bedroom. Which is fine if you are IN LOVE WITH COLOR! But I'm sure you don't want the room looking like a kids playroom...which can happen quite easily with yellow. Color in general is relative to "light or lack of light". So when viewing a paint chip one should ALWAYS look at the chip on a vertical plan...so tape it to your wall to view properly so that it reads correctly with the natural light that floods into the room & then view it will all lights on...As well as in the day & night time. You will see how the color changes. Color changes greatly when viewed on a horizontal & you are NOT painting your floor so you should look at the chip that way on a vertical.

You want an "happy but sophisticated yellow" that celebrates the bedding & drapes...as well as the off white bedding.

I actually don't see a color on the 2 stripes that will work well. If you match the color exactly to your bedding, the room will be electric...but the lighter colors on the 2 stripes start to head into the peach family or so it looks from the photo you sent Try & find a yellow with more a beige undertone or a gray undertone. These yellows will be more peaceful but still playful.

I ALWAYS suggest doing a couple larger samples on white construction paper. You will see how a large sample helps you read the overall select colors much easier.

Color is a fickle thing & NOT an exact science. You will get there eventually.

Also play with various black accessories...that will add great contrast & drama.

Take a look at Provence Cream which is a soft yellow by Benjamin Moore. Found it after much paint color trauma. It's been easy to live with.

There actually is a color science. It's called colorimetry and it gets pretty darn specific and accurate. But that's a discussion that belongs on its own thread.

One yellow I can highly recommend which we used in our last house was SW Jonquil Gold -- recommended by a designer from West Elm and I loved it. Not right for this master bedroom though

I like your drapes and bedding. Someone already suggested testing colors by painting a board. I just wanted to add that you can buy paper coated styrofoam "boards" in decently large sizes at places like Staples. You will probably want to test several colors.

When we built our house last year, the painter only used SW paint, but we were able to give him colors from Benjamin Moore and he matched them just fine. Good luck with your project.

One of the softer yellows should work well. Match the bright yellow in the fabric to either of the color cards and then move down to a soft lighter yellow on the same color card, one of the first three. Your room will feel sunny. A darker yellow would be garish.

Go for the yellow! Literally every room in my house is painted the same buttery shade of yellow. It is warm and welcoming in any weather or light and is the perfect backdrop for the custom, white-painted woodwork my husband has built. It will also look gorgeous with the wood flooring we plan to install. Honestly, a pale but warm yellow is a great neutral.

The soft yellow of the paint chip would be my pick , with that choice you will be able to work with other colours when it comes to change your bedspread . If you like to go into the darker shades then things will get spicy and a bit more complex with your colour choices , like in this idea photo .

I love yellow too but I've found it really hard to pick the right yellow. To my surprise some of the yellows I like the best look off white or tan on a paint swatch so definitely test it first.

OP Quickchangeartist CA East Bay painted a room with SW Jonquil - me thinks she can handle some YELLOW. :D

We used SW Fresh Linen in most of our house. It is a light creamy yellow and coordinates with most colors. Similar to Full Moon on the paint strip on the right that you posted and to Jersey Cream that Lori Sawaya suggested.

My suggestion would NOT to use yellow on the walls...I would match the drapery color and than go one shade lighter...that way if you change out the duvet you will only have to coordinate with one color:)) and for a master bedroom it will have a more calming effect!

I would give up the aqua drapes before I'd give up the yellow walls

Oh HECK YES!! Leaping before you look! It's one of my favorite qualities! While it can certainly get me in over my head, more often it brings greater rewards! I just so happen to drive a yellow bug:)

You could try a coral for the walls it is so beautiful with blue and is in the duvet..

This color is patience. It is a Sherman Williams paint. It is soft yellow neutral.

Well then work with the drapes to find a yellow because the duvet is bright. I have BM Golden Straw in my LR and loved it so much painted my guest room same color. Just tell SW the color # from any company & they can look up the formula

From what you have there, I'm leaning toward the full moon or a half mix of friendly yellow. I'll see if I can dig up something better for you though.

Color is tricky, lighting, reflection from other things in the room, etc., can make a color look dramatically different from one wall to the next. If you are not picky it's not so much an issue. But if you are picky like me, it can be time consuming but worth it. I painted my bathroom 3 times (3 different shades of griege) before arriving on exactly the right color. It took nearly a year, multiple swatches painted on the exterior and lots of input from friends and neighbors before we settled on a color scheme for the exterior after a remodel. That was 10 years ago and I still love it and have actually have had two homeowners (Not too close to us) ask us for color names to copy the same color scheme

Try Concord Ivory which is a BM historical color. It is a gold that looks like a deep yellow. A painter told me to use a gold not a yellow which is very hard to pick

I know you are set on yellow, but I thought Home Interiors presented a very good alternative for you if you would just think about it a bit. It is still a strong and very happy color for you. However, I realize you are not open but if I could just put a tiny crack in your mind about trying at least that alternative, you might be surprised by the result. If yellow it is, try SW 7556 Crème. It is an off white but has a lot of yellow in it. The Croissant I mentioned earlier on the "chip" looks more beige than it is on the walls. I have it in my family room and adjoining kitchen and went through countless tries. I love yellow and had it in my previous home as well, although not in a bedroom. My current room is a Southwest facing room and that color in the day time is very yellow). At night it is still yellow but takes on a more gold/yellow look. All depends ON YOUR LIGHT. You have to do sample boards and put them in your room to see what works and even then, when you actually get it on walls, it will present more color than you thought by about two shades! Good luck.

Flo, I completely agree with you. It is why I suggested BM Linen. The color has a soft yellow undertown, almost golden color which goes with just about everything without overpowering the room and other colors. What the OP does not realize is that color on the walls intesifies when it is painted on 4 walls. What looks great on a paint chip becomes cartoonish in a bedroom and while yellow is cheerful in the morning, trying to fall asleep in a loud cartoon of bedroom may become impossible.
