66" alcove tubs with the integral tile flanges are difficult and expensive to find. The standard 60" alcove tub is much easier to locate. The window is shown right in the absolute worst spot to be in a tub, where it receives maximum overspray. That means it needs to be vinyl, safety glass, and integrate the waterproofing properly. I'd feel much better about it were the shower head at the other end, or were it a high transom above the level of the shower head. That would also allow the built in at the end of the tub to be open to the tub area for towel storage. You're currently not allowing for enough thickness for that wet wall.

Thank you so much. I really like the idea of switching the shower head on the opposite wall and putting in alcoves for the towels inside. I was just worried about the plumbing being far away from the original plumbing. I wouldn't know if i can do that until I do demo.

If this is DIY, please read the zillions of threads with water damage from an improperly waterproofed wet area and learn from them. Schluter has many videos online of how to properly waterproof a shower. And you need to also understand how to integrate that tile flange with the waterproofing. You cannot use a drop in tub in a tub shower design.

Thank you for your input. I am a licensed NYC master plumber and fire suppression contractor. Dealing with multimillion dollar apartments, waterproofing is very important. Most buildings still require us to make lead pans for showers without any seams. I am using a 66x 32 kohler alcove tub with integral tile flange.
