This is a GREAT renovation!! One suggestion though would be to buy a side table to put between the arm chair (which is my favorite part in this room) and the sofa (my 2nd favorite part) something simple that doesn't take up much space visually.

I agree something needs to go between the couch and the chair--a table or a small chest perhaps.

Some great changes. I agree about a side table and perhaps bring the side chair into the grouping a bit more. I also think you need a bigger area rug. It is too small and looks a bit lost. Something with a bit of pattern and maybe colour would add some interest. It's difficult to say from the pics, but the artwork looks like it might be a bit high. Simple window panels in white would finish the look.
