What size pendant light over island?

Hello! We are building a house and the kitchen ceiling height is 10'. We would like to put 2 pendant lights over the island which measures 8' x 42". Shown is a picture of the pendant light we are considering. Which size do you think would be best - 19.5" high x 16" wide or 24" wide x 20" tall? Thanks so much!

    Hi! So, you say your island is 42" wide. Take that number and subtract 12 to find an ideal maximum width or diameter for lights to go over it. That's 30 inches. (You can read more about light sizing here.) Since your ceiling is high and the specific fixture you show here has an airy and open look, I say you could go for the larger size!
