Regular door. I can't picture a barn door in this space.

What do your other interior doors look like? I would stay consistent in style with those.

i think a barn door might be a little out of place in such a traditional space. What about a pocket door or changing the swing to the other side?

all other doors in the house are flat with no design on them, was thinking about raised panel molding addition to the other doors

Have you thought about changing the mouldings around the doors to match the flatter trim pieces you have installed as wainscoting? I have the same mouldings and have considered swapping them out for flatter trim.

Since you already have wainscotting, it would follow that you select panel doors.

If you use a barn door, you will lose any wall décor where the door will slide.

There is no rationale for a barn door. Doesn't appear your home is farm like in anyway.

Thanks for sharing this view! Well we love barn doors so we are a bit bias. We say install a barn door that slides left and knock down the wall to the right as you enter :) It'll open up the space and add for more creative options.
