Bathroom: Double towel bar or one behind door?

There's no room for two towel bars in our new bathroom and I need to hang four bath-size towels. Would appreciate any feedback on these choices. Pics included to help. (blue tape indicates a 24" bar length and where toilet paper roll needs to go.)

A. Double towel bars? If so, which is easier to put on and take off towels, one with the two bars at equal heights or one with one bar higher than another?

B. One towel bar on the wall and one hanging on door? If on the door, how does that work with the door handle?

And I don't want to put towels over the toilet.

How about a nice hook in each bedroom? That's a lot of moisture in one bathroom and those towels will dry faster if kept in each persons bedroom. Then you just hang hand towels in the bathroom. We've done that for years and it works very well.

Nice finishes in the bathroom. I think a behind the door rack would work bests. Bath towels can be pretty long and at the height of the tape, it may be in easy reach for someone to wipe their hands on while using the latrine

So here's how you do the bars behind the door. Not sure it would work for you to do two because of your door handle. Hooks might be an option. Also found a pic of a double hanging bar.

Out of curiosity for the designers: where should she put the four hooks? I think the area near the toilet has a window, so the hooks would have to be somewhat low, and probably cannot put more than two. Another two behind the door?

Linda, a handy hand towel??? are they supposed to dry off w/the hand towel?

do the multiple bars. I know what it's like to have that many people using one shower. the towels need to dry or they smell. I'd say do the one behind the door too, but it looks like it opens right into the toilet. odd set up.

do a hook on the door for one towel, a double or triple for the others on the other wall.

I would go for a combo of hooks and towel bar. How about a towel bar under the window and a couple of hooks on the back of the door? Or you could attach a ladder style towel rack to the back of the door for plenty of space.

If you decide to attach to the back of the door, consider using a board across the inset panel so you can use longer screws to attach your hooks or rails. Or, find one wide enough to attach to the outer area, not the inner panel. Even though towel bars, hooks, TP holders etc can be attached with anchors, nothing beats actually putting screws into solid wood framing.

Thank you for all comments so far! I'm not a fan of hooks for this bathroom; I'm looking for the sleeker look of folded towels. The bathroom is actually just for my husband and me, and doesn't produce much moisture with a window and a powerful Panasonic fan. But I use two towels (body and hair) and he likes two for daily rotation for the few days we use them before laundry - thus, the need for four towels.

Could you put a rack in the shower? Hotels often do that, if the shower is long enough to put them at the far end, and it would let you use a more minimal combination of towel bars, say one under the window and one on the back of the door.
