Having bought a new sofa a few months ago, I would highly recommend going into the store and sitting down on as many as you can. Sofas that I saw online looked different in person and the quality of the fabric varies so much! Some sofas were very uncomfortable to actually sit on, or the chaise separated from the rest when you sat down. Both of your pics look beautiful, it's just hard to tell from a photo if the fabric is rough, if it's not too deep to put your feet on the floor when you sit down, or if it's comfy to sit on.

Thanks, I totally agree, which is why I am only considering ones I can sit on. Both I can sit on in local stores, and both seem pretty comfy. We are a tall family though, so that definitely needs considered!

I have the craftmaster in the gray fabric and I'm not super happy with it. There were a lot of quality control issues to the point that they are remaking it for me. Also, I wasn't happy with the quality of the gray fabric (sugar shack). I would upgrade to one of the more expensive gray fabrics than the standard grays. I have the standard called sugar shack (no upgraded fabric charge). I'm getting a different fabric for the redo. The sugar shack doesn't feel good especially against dry skin and it isn't wearing well along the welting. That said, I do think the cushions will hold up better than some of the cheaper sectionals.

The craftmaster cushions are firm!!! This bothered me at first but I'm told they will soften over time and wear well. We'll see.

Also important to note, it's a tall sofa.

i'm not surprised the cushions are too soft now... they advertise their 1.8 foam as high resiliency foam... ick

i hate to say it, but both of these sectionals look cheap china made/mass produced. i am shocked to see that the first one says it's made in the US. but since they falsely advertise the 1.8 foam as high resiliency, who knows what else isn't quite true. i would say keep looking ! what area do you live in?

They are actually both made in the US, but I'm open to ideas especially if I can sit on it locally. I am in Mid-Missouri.

Yes, it is completely custom so you choose everything. But fabric grades 1-3 are the bottom of the line which gives you the baseline cost. Anything above that is as an upgraded fabric. I started with a grade 3 and am now getting a 7.

I literally could not find a single other sectional with this configuration that fit my space, not in a furniture store and not online. It was also in my price range. There are much better sectionals out there but they will be quite a bit more expensive.

YIKES... i think you can definitely do better. i hear you describing a beautiful room with beautiful floors, and these sectionals don't belong in your nice home ;)

i wish you would live closer to one of our locations, but keep in mind that we ship nationwide every week. we send out fabric swatches, so you can see and feel the fabric, and our seat cushion fills can be compared to restoration hardware fills.

I was wondering if you ever found a sectional?
Also, wondering what fabric artiesmama went with the second time?
I'm looking at the craftmaster f9. I thought it was very comfortable. I liked it beacuse it can be reclined but still had clean lines, doesn't look like the big bulky traditional style reclining sectionals. My dilemma is I can't not find a Grey I like. They all look very farmhouse/woven materials. I just wanted a simple gray. Transitional / contemporary style.
