Need help with Nursery!!!

I live in a small apartment so I have a tiny area for the nursery and it doesn't have a closet. So, I'm custom making the dresser so it can fit basically all the baby needs, clothes, everything and it would have a changing pad on top. The height of the dresser cannot exceed 100 cm (not including the legs) and the width can be around 120-130 cm. I'm wondering how I can layout the drawers so I can have nice deep organized drawers. So, I thought 20 cm height of each drawer and 60 cm in width (double drawers) with 3 smaller ones in width on top for all the small baby items sort of like the picture shown. What do you think of the layout in the picture? Is this practical? I basically need something that would hold alllll baby needs so nice spacious drawers and maximize the number of drawers possible because I don't have any other space! Any helppp would be muchhh appreciated!

If you are going with that color the fabric I used for my son's would be beautiful.

Should be good for starters. When the baby is little, some mothers have taken to simply putting a "changing pad" on the floor and that is portable and easy to use and no danger of baby falling off high cabinet. I would opt for that. Then you could use the top of the dresser for additional storage, such as a cubby for disposable diapers which you always needs volume space for.

Thank you so much! I'm a new mom-to-be so I'm a little lost as to how much space is needed for baby items storage! It's a good thing you told me about changing pad on the floor so I'm definitely going to do that!

You are about to be amazed, in so many ways! But the amount of "stuff" babies require is endless! So, the more storage you have the better. Such an exciting time and I know you want everything as perfect as you can make it.

If you have room and can fit a change pad and a basket or organizer on top of the dresser you can use that to store diapers, wipes cream etc. This is what I have done and I replenish the basket every few days. This frees up space in the room from large diaper boxes and its handy to have what you need easily accessible rather than having to root through the drawers while keeping a hold of the baby mid change. I think the dresser would definitely fit the amount of clothes needed, but maybe you can add a baskets or hamper on the floor on the side for receiving blankets as you will have a lot of those. And if you don't have floor space use your walls as much as possible - shelves, hooks etc. You can find lots of styles that will go with your nursery theme or decor. I suggest that you have a look on pinterest for ideas on how to store shoes and other small loose items that need a home. I have seen ikea picture ledges used and that looked sweet. Finally if you have special outfits that you don't want folded in the drawers find a way to hang them up and make it part of the decor. I will try and post some pics I have seen.

We did a changing pad that screwed into the back of a dresser. Worked great. Do they not make those anymore for some reason?

I can probably fit a hamper in the corner. the problem is that this room is not.really a 'room' it's basically a small area off the living room, so it doesn't have a door. it's 2 meters by 2 meters or so and it has a nice largee window right in the middle so it gives me only 2 walls to work with, one for the crib and the other for the dresser. however I did come by an idea that uses shelves above the dresser. what do you think? the only concern I have about the hanger is that it will be pretty exposed, so anyone coming in the apartment will see everything.
