My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Bowling alley slab into a Table

I made this table from a bowling alley slab. It has 1/4 inch steel banding and I beams for legs. I polished the steel with a wire brush and sprayed with a clear satin . The top has a satin varnish.

    HI SUGARBAKERS, Regarding mirrors on the legs , I'm not sure that works for me, sometimes less is more. I do want to make more bowling alley tables , perhaps a coffee table, I just have to get the right customer .

      Love the creativity. Out of curiosity, where on earth did you come across spare bowling alley parts? I imagine bowling alleys don't just throw these out.

      Yes they do. Many bowling alleys are closing or have to upgrade their lanes. I bought four slabs 'cos I thought they might be scarce . Check out your local salvage yard.

      There were surprises working with this slab, lots of nails, big ones, every six inches on every strip. I was so surprised it wasn't glued.

      There are many iterations of this design too.

      Beautiful finish table. Should be a market for this. Well done !!! Just a small suggestion, how would it look if you stuck mirrors on the inside of the I beams? Glam it up a little.
