Certainly not, the water on the floor is a slip/fall hazard.

You say it happens when it rains, does it happen any other time? Reason I ask is that air conditioners create significant condensate and if it isn't raining and you get standing water that is what you are dealing with.

Obviously needs to be addressed either way, but kind of depends on if your boss is a cheapo or not if it actually will be addressed.

The cord itself appears to have GFI (ground fault interruptor) (block with two buttons) which would trip if there was a loss of integrity of the cord. Otherwise it is fine to use.

Thanks for the info about the cord! My main concern was the cord sitting in the water. The leaking only happens during heavy rains and in this instance, the leaking occurred prior to anyone arriving and actually turning on the AC. Thanks again!

I would suggest that the AC unit is improperly installed and/or the units outside drain is plugged. AC unit should also be installed with the outside tilted downwards.

IF the wiring is right, and the AC unit is functioning properly in the electrical sense, there won't be a significant shock hazard due to the standing water.
