I hope you're doing great! As I followed your previous advices and modified my gritty mix ingredients (perlite, turface/qualisorb, natural aquarium gravel), I was just curious to hear your opinion if my mix looks right to you? I was mixing my second batch yesterday, and now that I'm getting a better understanding of the whole thing, I've noticed that some of the perlite was splitting away and revolving around the edges of my container. Is this normal? I am aware that my gravel is slightly bigger than my perlite & qualisorb - I had a bit of difficulty to find real "natural" uncoloured-unpolished gravel, and I screened the one I found to only get the smallest particles, but now I'm wondering if it's still too big and causing the issue. I also did not notice any changes to the plants I've repotted into the gritty mix with my first batch, and I've read numerous thread where plants were significantly thriving after the switch, so I'm not sure if I got it right.
