I would leave them white

I like the idea of a darker blue on the lowers, white on uppers, remove the door panel and replace w/seeded glass. or remove a few of the uppers if you can spare them and put up some floating wood shelving. some cool lighting, pendants over sink would look good. the color blue w/the white and the glass doors. goes nicely w/your butcher block too.

if you want a gray, something like this: BM Gentlemans Gray has a blue undertone

Your brick will look great! If you're saving for remodel I would leave them white for now. It will look just like your inspiration photo.

We do plan to remove the upper cabinets that block the open view and put floating shelves up for an open clean look, eventually we will add a backsplash and new countertops and wood floors, the house needs other things right now so my kitchen budget is tiny....

I would paint that brick, and then I would leave the cabinets white. I would not paint them a random color. I would spend that money on replacing that floor.

If you decide to paint the cabinets, I wouldn't do just that one lone section. Painting all the lower one color and leaving the upper white looks nice. Liked the images others shared.

I used Annie Sloan paint to whitewash our fireplace brick. It was easy and looks wonderful. Photo shows my current Easter display.

We did a total kitchen remodel several,years ago. What a difference it made in how I feel about our home and cooking! good luck!

Definitely doing the brick! :) Thanks for the paint recommendation K C your fireplace brick looks good. I think I will do the brick and see how it all looks before doing anything else, Can't wait to do floors and counters but that will wait till next year, paint is much cheaper than floors lol

I think your kitchen is adorable! Lightening the brick would brighten that area...try testing it on an inconspicuous area like behind ur fridge. I think the best thing u can do is remove that whole section of cabinets close to ur dining area. Take all 4 down and add some shelves. Patching the wall and paint would not break the bank. Plus it looks like you have a sizable storage cabinet in the dining area. Are the countertops butcherblock? They look nice! Good luck and share your progress.

Your cabinets look like they might be Thermo foil. Paint won't stick to that.

That's not real brick is it? Never seen a brick soffit.

Cabinets are wood and brick is real
