Cherrywood paint advise, part 2

Have decided to take the advice of leaving the wood alone and paint the hardware only. My problem is what color to paint the walls that compliments the wood. I have problems seeing undertones. (Once painted my bathroom pink... Took 5 people to convince me to redo)... Sigh

My sister had her cherry bedroom furniture "chalk" painted and it looks great! Do it!

Leave the furniture ALONE. what is your goal for the ROOM? You;d be better off selling the furniture, if you want a drastic change. Do not chalk paint it. In fact...... don't paint it at all. Post a picture of what you are after........

Leave the furniture alone. Consider very light/pale blue for the walls. White for bedding, blue (think cornflower) for accessories. White on white window treatments. Make the furniture the focal point. Work with it. That style furniture painted...well, it will look like painted furniture.

Painting your walls would be a world easier than painting that furniture. That is a job and a half! Like the suggestions Mark made above.
