Too far away to be sure but probably a Cryptomeria. You really need to get a closer view for reliable responses to be possible.

Looks like Chamaecyparis pisifera. One of the larger clones. Boulevard comes to mind, not sure if it gets that large. Some clones don't age well, and that one is getting too much shade.

that looks very similar, if not exact! thank you very much. Do you happen to know why some of them appear full and conical, while others like my neighbors have more "character" with the bunched needles, and uneven structure?

Moss cypress was my first thought but ball-like appearance of "clumping needles" suggested the other.
