I've been receiving e-mail that lists the sender as certain friends, most of them here on the Alabama forum. But if you mouse over the sender's name and the originating e-mail address appears, it is not that of anyone I communicate with here. The subject matter is always something like "here's a link I thought you'd enjoy". Needless to say I immediately mark it as spam, but it usually happens several more times before the idiot who sends them finally gets caught (I'm guessing). Then they just get another bogus e-mail address and start again sometime later.

I have hesitated contacting the people whose names were used, but I guess I should. I would certainly want to know. I did notify someone once but they misunderstood the situation and thought I was accusing them of wrongdoing.
