Has anyone worked with Resysta/Trugrain? Has any experienced warping, expansion/contraction, discoloration/fading or other issues?

Installed siding six months ago, and it's already warping and buckling. Terrible product, would not use again or recommend. Attempts to contact distributor and have them recommend solutions have been futile.

YES. We have had warping, undulating, shrinking, over-expansion, fading, warping, etc. We had to sue Westtech and his distributors and still have 9000sf of their failing product. It has damaged nearby materials and caused injuries from people tripping on the deck. It also seems to hold a ton of water. The manufacturer blames everything on the builder & installer and builder & installer blame the product and manufacturer. Probably a combination failure of both. Not sure if I can help more but please let me know. Where are you located? I am in FL.

We are trying to decide between ipe and resysta. Seems like a clear choice.

I am also in Florida and am having the same issues. Manufacturer blames distributed blames installer. Warping fading Stain and sealer lasts about 9 months.

I was deciding between IPE and resysta and made the wrong choice!

The product is not good and the company is terrible

Do any of you have updates on Resysta or Westech helping to resolve your issues? We have not help or resolution and are almost 3yrs into this!

It’s sounds like most of you bought “Tru-Grain” which is made with Resysta but manufactured/extruded by Westech and not by Resysta themselves and also used a prefinishing company and not Resysta stain and clearcoat products. Westech no longer manufactures TruGrain products. Resysta does still distribute all over North America and uses their own stains and UV clear coating. We have done quite a few Resysta decks and use some of their profiles to fabricate our own custom rails. Feel free to message me if you have any questions.

This is a HORRIBLE product. Warping is widespread (see pictures attached). I purchased this stuff directly from Resysta, so no excuses.

    Hi Roger,

I’ve never seen anything quite like that. Try calling the Resysta dealer at 908-303-3587. Without more pictures of the spacing and clips it is hard to tell what exactly is going on.

Bad product by a bad company. We had to replace our 1,800 sq ft of decking with Batu, and are very happy we did so, despite the added costs. Company was responsive until the point of having to do something about the warping, discoloring, cracking, etc. Then they stopped replying.

We are looking at Trex or TimberTech. Also ipe but hadn't heard of Batu. Will check it out.

Agree on all reviews. Horrible experience all around. Lost all color. Claimed to be GUARANTEED against fading/UV rays. And no one will stand by their word. No way is it our contractors fault. Fading has nothing to do with installation and we paid extra to have it PRE stained by RESYSTA before installation. Boards are also buckled. A mess!!

Needs to totally be replaced and the most they would offer us was 2 cans of stain. Which would not even cover our large deck. Ugh!!!

do NOT use this product. I think the reviews are pretty clear. Wish we used IPE. We have it on the Oregon Coast and our deck has weathered harah temps, rain and salt water. And still looks great after years!!

Horrible service from Resysta distributors in the west coast. They have made several mistakes on the order and is now making the owner pay for shipping the materials back.

    Hello meeh97,

I am sorry that the service was not as expected, however All Green Building Products expeditiously replaced and delivered mis-shipped material at zero cost to the Client based on requested products and information, provided by the Client’s Build Team. Upon receipt of the replacement material it was realized that the Build Team requested, and provided, incorrect information to All Green BP; thus a subsequent order was issued. All Green BP was willing to provide this subsequent material again at zero charge to the client, however, freight costs were incurred that All Green Building Products was not in a position to absorb due to the Build Team’s error.

Per my comment and pictures above and comments from others, yes this is Trugrain from Westech's issue and not Resysta's. I have heard from Resysta and they have been great in helping with the stain, and making recommendations for fixing installation problems by my contractor which may be contributing to the warping.

    To all Resysta Material Customers,

Resysta North America appreciates all reviews and comments on our material and building products. Manufacturers are using our material to develop and produce furniture, benches, and outdoor kitchens; in addition to the normal decking, siding, and cladding projects. Resysta North America focuses on building products which we manufacture in our own factory. If you have any issues with Decking, Cladding, or Siding please contact us at info@resystausa.com and we will certainly help to find the root cause and 100% stand behind our product if it is a product failure. Regarding finish concerns: please note that different Resysta Distributors throughout the country may not all use the same stain and application methods. Some contractors choose to utilize their own finish, thus, questions/concerns regarding finish may require additional information and will be sent to the appropriate supplier. The Resysta warranty will only cover the profile and not the finish unless applied per manufacturer’s guidelines by an authorized Resysta Distributor. For details on our warranty please visit www.resystausa.com. Thank you, Michael Sloup, President of Resysta North America

Michael has been great to work with and trying to assist with my product issues, even though the root cause is Westech Trugrain (who has not been helpful at all).

We have a brand new resysta deck and it looks terrible. Warping everywhere, despite joists at 8". The spacing at the ends of boards cannot be consistent due to the expansion and contraction during installation. It's been 6 months and the stain is gone. Please don't use this material. We're ripping it out.

My experience with Resysta PVC deck has been nothing short of frustrating. I shelled out a significant amount for what was touted as a premium outdoor solution, only to find that the product lacks any semblance of resistance to outdoor conditions.

Within one month of installation, the deck is marred with stains supposedly caused being in an outdoor environment

This is beyond absurd! If a product is designed for outdoor use, it should be able to withstand the very elements it's meant to encounter.

What's even more infuriating is the lack of support . Their proposed solution? Sanding and reapplying the stain. Really? Why should I have to bear the cost and hassle of fixing a problem that shouldn't exist in the first place?

It's clear that Resysta doesn't stand behind the quality of their product. There's been no acknowledgment of the fundamental flaw in their deck's design, and they offer no assurance that this won't happen again.

Buyers, beware! If you're looking for an outdoor solution that actually withstands the outdoors, steer clear of Resysta. They do not back their product, and you'll end up regretting the day you trusted them.

I agree this product is horrible

we installed 5 years ago and have nothing but problems starting w warping before we installed. manufacturer said it was our fault we did not store properly and it continued to unfold into a money pit. we have sanded stained 2 x’s w resysta boards now so badly warped and buckling we are looking to replace whole deck. do not buy this product is will result in time money frustration

we never thought we would need to sand and stain a high end material multiple times
