It looks like a black ribbed sideboard or console.

I would get un-obsessed? There are a billion sideboards and consoles on the market. You have no idea if this was new, vintage, inherited or anything else. Point is, it's not the only one that could make a lovely focal point in a room. I'm inclined to say because of the curve at ends...and the plinth base, it is vintage.......and you will need an ebay,or 1st dibs type search. Or have it custom made

Not a designer, but I agree with no context, it's hard to guess. Could have have come from anywhere, been painted over (from wood or other colour), been custom made, just a prop for the shoot...
