Meh, don't sweat the small stuff. If you followed the directions, and didn't over-fertilize, they'll be fine. You aren't going to eat tomato leaves, and soon they'll fall off anyway. Plants outgrow all manner of leaf issues... especially lower leaves. It's no different than the many forms of natural damage plants might encounter.

I overreacted. I was more annoyed that I already broke off leaves outing the cages on too late.

Yeah, it happens. I was carefully repositioning one of my tomato plants the other day and broke off the best leaf lol. Sometimes things happen.

Agree with all the above but you might want to look up how to do "side dressing". When one is side dressing plants there is no way for fertilizer to come in contact with the leaves. ;')

One pulls the mulch back and mixes the fert well into the top couple of inches of the soil 6-8" away from the plant. Then put the mulch back in place.
